Come join our meeting October 19 (Thursday) at the Los Angeles Athletic Club where our speakers will be L.A. County Superior Court Judge Craig J. Mitchell and President & CEO of the Midnight Mission Michael Arnold.

Judge Mitchell was a high school teacher for 17 years, prosecutor for 11 years, and has been a judge for 13 years. Judge Mitchell started the Midnight Mission Running Club in 2012. It all began when a young man he had previously sentenced to prison contacted him through the Mission. “For some reason he decided he liked the way I treated him, even though I sent him to prison. He looked me up and introduced me to the Mission.” In 2017, Judge Mitchell created The Skid Row Runners, a 501c(3) to enable fundraising to send the Mission’s runners to competitions throughout the world.

President & CEO of the Midnight Mission Michael Arnold is a Certified Public Accountant, and was the Chief Operating Officer and then Executive Director of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority from 2006 -2015, and a private consultant before joining The Midnight Mission. He has been a major force behind the re-engineering and expansion of the Los Angeles Continuum of Care Homeless Management Information System and a relentless change agent for integration and collaboration of services and housing for individuals, youth, and families.

Join us for happy hour/dinner 6-7pm at the 3F Invention Bar, followed by our meeting at 7:15pm.
