Come join our next meeting on Thursday, March 15, where our speaker will be Liliana Griego, Community Engagement Coordinator for Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) (https://folar.org/), a nonprofit whose mission is to ensure a publicly accessible and ecologically sustainable Los Angeles River by inspiring River stewardship through community engagement, education, advocacy, and thought leadership.

Her work encompasses education, outreach, and policy revolving around the mighty LA River. When Liliana returned home to Los Angeles after completing her Masters in Europe, her eyes were widened by the lack of access her fellow Angelenos had to nature. Since her return, Liliana has been connecting people to nature from guiding students out on their first hike in the San Gabriel Mountains to educating native Angelenos that there is in fact a river in Los Angeles. By being a part of the FoLAR team, she is given the opportunity to connect her community to the environment and provide a voice for the River.

Join us for happy hour/dinner 6-7pm at the 3F Invention Bar, followed by our meeting at 7:15pm.

Guests and visiting Rotarians welcome!
