Come join our next meeting on Thursday, March 7, where our speaker will be Rotary DTLA member Marie Enright, Assistant Professor at USC in the Department of Latin American and Iberian cultures.

Marie Enright holds a PhD from UCLA in Romance Linguistics and Literature. Her areas of expertise are gender studies, 19th- and 20th-century Spanish literature, nationalism, marginality, exoticism, postcolonial Francophone literature, and postcolonial theory. She has lived and studied in Mexico, France, and Morocco and has traveled extensively in Latin America and Europe. She has developed and led a Maymester course overseas entitled “Cultural Convergence in Granada and Marrakech”, which is the subject of her talk. She has been a member of Rotary DTLA since 2015 and is passionate about promoting peace and gender equality.

Join us for happy hour/dinner 6-7pm at the 3F Invention Bar at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, followed by our meeting at 7:15pm.
