Our Club History

The Rotary Club of Downtown Los Angeles was founded in 1997. Its members actively live out “service above self” through a commitment to the highest ideals in their professions and active engagement in the community.

The club is one of nearly 34,000 worldwide that are part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club operating in over 200 countries with 1.2 million members.

The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Our regular meetings are held twice monthly on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 6:30pm at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Meetings typically consist of discussions of ongoing project planning, and a guest speaker presentation.

We also meet regularly for fellowship activities to enjoy the range of opportunities available in and around the Los Angeles area, for happy hours, outings to Downtown Art Walk, sailing days, wine tours, and more!

We are always looking to connect and collaborate with new partners and welcome you to visit us at one of our meetings soon!
